Overview of the entire board.

Mii Fashion Plaza (きせかえスゴロク (Kisekae Sugoroku) in the Japanese version) is a TV Party mode in Wii Party U.

Gameplay[]

The player(s) must make a costume by going around the plaza by landing on stores to get pieces for the costume. There are shops that give out dice blocks as well.

Every game of Mii Fashion Plaza has a set of 5 costumes. Every costume piece has a set of stars. Those stars are how much points that piece is worth. The player can always check how many points they can earn with your outfit when they reach center stage.

They can only have up to 7 items with them; Four for them to wear and three for them to keep until further notice. If there's too much, them have to dispose of one. There’s also those costume pieces that take more than one space.

Once the players reach center stage, their outfit will be evaluated. All stars that each costume piece has will be added up for a set of points. These points will be multiplied by 2 if they manage to get the full outfit. Note: They can get to center stage by landing on the gray center stage space.

After the player(s) get to center stage, the game will give them a costume piece and a special dice block.

Types of special rolls:

1-2-3 Roll: Only lets you roll 1, 2, or 3 on a die

4-5-6 Roll: Only lets you roll 4, 5, or 6 on a die

Slo-mo Roll: Die goes slower than normal.

x2 Roll: Whatever is rolled is multiplied by 2

x3 Roll: Whatever is rolled is multiplied by 3

x4 Roll: Whatever is rolled is multiplied by 4

Notes: (1) If a player lands on a Lucky Spin and get a ×2, ×3 or x4 dice on the last round, the game will make them use it instantly, making them have another turn. (2) They cannot keep more than two dice on the last round. (3) They also cannot obtain any. (4) If they land on the Lucky Spin space, there is a chance that they will have to go to center stage.

There are spaces around the plaza that make a player compete against another player for a costume piece. There's also another that will make them play against all other players. Whomever wins gets the piece.

All this goes for 15 rounds, with two allowing you to play a minigame to get a costume piece, and the very last round giving the player(s) a chance to get ahead by going to center stage in an instant if they win. The two rounds making them play a Minigame will make you pick a costume piece of their choice. They can either pick from the sets available on the board or from their opponents if they win.

Whoever has the most points piled up by the end wins. Before showing the winner, the game will make the winner dress up in the costume that they got the most points with.

Trivia[]

  • In the introduction sequence, when in the far back, the spectator Miis don't have a shadow, but when in the front, they do.

We edited arrows in this picture to point out what we're talking about.

  • Just like Mario Party 8, when the player(s) reach the last round, they will not be able to get any items, but can keep what they brought.
    • Also similar to Mario Party 9, the players cannot have more than 2 dice blocks. If they do have more, those extra blocks will be thrown away.
  • There are both male variants and female variants for almost every costume. The one exception is the astronaut outfit, which is the same for both males and females. The reason for this is because astronaut outfits are meant to be unisex.
  • Every time a minigame is played, spectators change both in position (most of them, not all of them) and in appearance after it ends. For example, if Pit is spectating you and you play a minigame, right after that minigame ends, you'll see another Mii in his spot, like Jialan or Joseph. However, there is a chance where after you finish a minigame, Pit will not be there and there won't be a Mii in his spot. Instead, the spot will be left completely vacant.
  • Almost all the costume sets have a chance of being replaced by other costume sets. The only exceptions are the Mario themed costume sets. Those will always appear no matter what.
    • At the moment, it is unknown if it was intentional or not to have those sets be the only ones to never be replaced.
  • Some of spectator Miis will stare at other Miis as they go by. This includes the players and the Miis that are just randomly walking around the plaza

  • If you steal a costume piece from a player who is near you, you can see them frowning as their costume piece is taken from them.
    • If they're wearing the costume piece you chose to steal, you can see the piece vanish entirely, being replaced by either a piece they had in their inventory or part of their default outfit.
  • Wearing the ninja hat will make a Mii’s nose flat in an instant. The same happens with the astronaut helmet.
  • If you land on the roulette space on the final turn, the roulette will not have anything involving giving you a dice block and keeping it, simply because their is no point of keeping it if the game is going to end after you get it.
  • The Beginner Miis will almost never attempt to get a full outfit despite it being the objective to get a full outfit in order to get more points.
  • If you leave center stage with a full outfit, Party Phil will not say anything about you having a chance of getting double points up until you get another costume piece.
  • Sometimes, after a fashion challenge, the Miis will have no facial expression whatsoever. It has been shown that it only happens at the times where a Mii is wearing a Peach dress.

Midori is supposed to be sad in this, but she is not showing any facial expression at all.
